According to ABC News, Instagram passes 50 million users, and adds 5 million a week as May 1, 2012. Expecting the number will be continue growing, More Smartphone users whomever have Android or iOS system are willing to use Instagram to capture and share their images.

The price of your smartphone case is a little high. My cousin recently bought two smartphone cases for only $20 from amazon.com. The surfaces of his smartphone cases are semi-matte for slide-proof. They sit tightly with easy access to all the control buttons. My cousin is very satisfied with his smartphone cases.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the price for a phone case is a little bit more than I expected. I believe that the smartphone cases you provide have a better quality than regular cheap case. However, you might need to explain more cool feature to persuade customers to make the purchase. I personally like solid white polished cover because it looks more modern.

ReplyDeleteHow will you be implementing this policy? If I was not satisfied with my customized case do I just send it back to you and create a new case that you will replace free of extra charge? This could really cut into your profit since you wouldn't be able to resell the returned cases to any other customers.
I agree with the question asked by Jisoo Kim, how would you implement this policy? Also, I just want to verify that the custom cases would not just be plain black/white as a previous post inferred. These cases would have a photo (or something) of the buyer's choice printed on them, correct?
ReplyDeleteI think you guys should explain why your products are better than others to your customers because this industry is a tough one. There are so many competitions out there that you want to make sure yours stand out from the rest!
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of the customizable photo case, but the price is really expensive. Why is your production costs so high? Although your cases are more durable than other companies, how are you going to compete with your competitors; aside from durability?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kyle; aside form durability, how will you compete with the rest of the phone accessory market? Your price for the case is on the high side, and I feel that you would have to include more for consumers to feel comfortable with the price.
ReplyDeleteyou guys can customize any kind of phone or just only the new model cell phones. You need to specific which phone and from what year to what year. by the way the price is kinda high too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe your smartphone cases need more designs and make it more special than usual. Cause this phone case is kind of the same with the normal phone cases, only the pictures on it can be changed. However, if the changeable picture is the only selling point, then I prefer the price can be cheaper.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good idea. With millions of people already on instagram, there definitely is a large market. However, I feel like the target market will be young, teenaged girls and boys. Also, I'd like to know what the quality of the actual photos on the case will be like. Will they scratch and fade over time? After all, it is a case.
ReplyDeleteI feel like there are already to many phone accessories. Your priceing for the cases is to high. You can find phone accessories on ebay or amazon for alot cheaper. How do you plan on making your product different from others out in the market.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I do want to show my favorite pictures on my cell phone case to my friends and family. But I think the price can still be a little lower so that more customers will be interested in this.
ReplyDeleteI believe the idea with pictures on your phone is a really good idea. I know they have that now but it can be really expensive so if you are able to get the price down where people can afford it the company would do well with this product.

I like the idea of this type of phone case since instagram and pictures are the trend right now, but I really don't see this type of case as something that will generate enough profit to make your business successful. Hopefully if you can get the price down to one that can compete with the rest of your competitors! Good luck !
ReplyDeleteI think you guys have something going on here but may need a little more research. The connection between instagram, smartphones, and customized cases don't all relate in my opinion. However the statistic of the large amount of smart phone users can attribute to the market of product you're currently marketing is vast, which is good. I think if you made a case so unique, maybe design material or style could attract consumers to buy your product.
ReplyDeleteHow are you guys going to compete with cases provided by Apple or name brand cases such as "Incase". Since your product is new and price seems a bit high. Shouldn't you guys start off at lower prices until people get a chance to use it and test them out.
