These days almost everyone has smart phones to keep up with the fast pace style that our country has come to know. What a better market to get involved with then the smart phone accessories market, over the past couple of years this market has made great headway on becoming a cash cow. So we have decide to be part of it too. So we have decided to begin selling smartphone accessories.

  2. Regarding cell phone accessories, what type of accessories specifically are you guys aiming for in the market? Apple iPhone would be a relevant market, because I know nowadays almost everyone owns an iPhone (2G,3G,3GS,4,4S) and these phones are quite fragile. I personally owned all of these phones before since the 2G came out in 2007 and I had various issues with them. For instance, the screen display are easily scratched and the back glass on the iPhone 4/4S will crack instantly if you drop it. Selling accessories such as screen protectors and custom made cases to protect the phone would definitely be in demand for every iPhone users.

  3. I agree with Tony. Are you going to focus on a specific type of smart phone or general smart phones? There are a lot of different brands that are making smart phones now and phones are not the standard size. I need to get a smart phone, which brand will you recommend? iphone, samsung, or HTC?

  4. With smart phone accessories will you guys have just cell phone cases for certain types of phones or will it be all smart phones? Will you also include such items as screen protectors and cell phone wall and car chargers? Will you market the young generation with cooler cases or the older generation with more durability within the cases or both?

  5. Now aday, Cell phone accessories business is not going to make a lot of profit because too many competitors. They selling it for very low price because they get their supply direct from China. For example, I saw few website sell Iphne cases for only .99 cent.

  6. After reading your post, I'm not sure why but, I though of custom. Would you be selling directly to consumers, retailers or to businesses? I think customized accessories, such as cases, could be effective for businesses to used as promotional types of items if they were cheap enough in price. Or maybe even for use on company issued phones. Just a thought.

  7. Cool. Cell phone accessories are widely accessible and customary, however I think that cell phone accessories are very low price and not all that attractive in a market where competition is high. Especially when competitors from different markets like China can out sell U.S. marketers.

  9. Good plan! The cell phone accessory market contains many competitors. I think that an important part of your marketing plan will be how you will reach out to the consumers. In order to stay competitive, many companies in this market sell accessories not only at retailer stores, but also through online marketing.

I know a little bit about cellphones accessories, like phone cases, chargers etc. Because I am the one who is selling cellphone accessories now, so I know you should prepare a lot of different version and type cellphones accessories especially there are hundreds types of smart phones. I look forward to read more about your plan, really interested in it. Maybe you guys can help my business :)

  12. I like the idea of the cell phone accessories, It sounds fun! After reading this blog, It made me think of my very first phone "Nokia 3395" where I would change out the cases on a regular base. I'd also spend a load of money on the accessory like dangling stuff animals but too bad I don't see that as often anymore. What kind of accessory are you guys thinking off? I agree with Heather, I feel like customized accessory is a good idea.

  13. Phone accessories are a really big trendin market. If anyone else is like me I get sick of my phone cover after awhile, or it collects a lot of dirt so I want a new one. Phone accessories are one of the things I don't intentionally look for cause I already have one but if I find one I like I'll buy it if it's a reasonable price.

  14. Great idea! With today's tech-savvy community, this is an opportunity to gain a portion of the market. It will be important to have a competitive approach due to there being so many companies selling the same products. I know that a lot of my friends enjoy buying new phone cases to protect their investment, which is why I believe this is a great opportunity to become appart of the industry.

  15. I like your idea since the majority of cell phone owners have smart phones. Will your accessories such as iphone cases be DIY cases to try to have a competitive edge over other competitors who have plainer cases? Being a droid user, I dont see much variety for cases for my phone and I am excited to see the rest of your plan. Good start !

More and more consumers are trending towards the option of getting a smartphone. there has been a large reduction in the number of basic and or quick messaging phones in order to room for the technological advancements in the smartphone industry. with increasing data speeds, larger displays, and processors approaching the speed of small computers this is definitely a large target market for accessories to complete the whole package. Customization is key and there is definitely an opportunity to make a profit

  19. Good idea. Every single smart phones should have a case. I've had a few smart phones break before I actually decided to buy a case and havent broken one since. There is a huge demand for cell phone accessories because everyone has one.

  25. Cell phone accessories is an ever growing market with almost everyone having some sort of smart phone. I do believe that having such a large target market of cell phone accessories will be difficult. It might be more beneficial to target only cases or only chargers to insure that the product is successfully marketed and fulfills its standards as a brand and product. Interesting topic and great market to get into!

  26. Phone accesory is really attractive and easy way to enhance our lives entertain. I am an one of the person to decorate my phone with phone cover and enjoy them. I am aware that more female are interested in doing that than male. So there should be great factors that is derived from the phone accessories.

  27. is there going to be anything that gives your company a competitive advantage over the other suppliers of smart phone accessories? do you find the profit margins are decreasing to the point where you have to offer a wide range of accessory types just to stay profitable? More specifically , what kind of accessories do you plan on offering ? cases , chargers , screen protectors, etc Are you going to be making these products for a select model of phones or multiple phones? Definitely interested in this topic
